HOLDEN APPROVES LAND DONATION FOR ROUZAN LIBRARY

BATON ROUGE, LA -Baton Rouge Mayor-President Kip Holden officially accepted the land donation for a public library at Rouzan, a120-acre traditional neighborhood development located on Perkins Road. The land was donated by 2590 Associates L.L.C., which is developing the property.

J. Thomas Spinosa III, Rouzan General Manager, said the library will enhance the community environment of the Perkins Road development. "We are thrilled to work with the East Baton Rouge Parish Library to provide a resource for the entire community. This will certainly be a centerpiece of Rouzan as we move forward."

David Farrar, East Baton Rouge Parish Library Director, sees the land donation approval as an example of how public/private partnerships can provide benefits to tax payers. "The East Baton Rouge Parish Library is very excited to expand our services within the parish. We see the Rouzan library as a great opportunity for everyone to benefit," Farrar said.

Rouzan construction is set to begin next week starting with the Mimosa District, featuring 26 home sites.

ROUZAN - Rouzan is a 120-acre Traditional Neighborhood Development (TND) being built near the corner of Perkins Road and Glasgow Avenue in the heart of Baton Rouge.
